Configuration & Setup
- Default Locale: Locale controls language and format for date, time, address, currency, name, and number fields.
- Defaults are set by the company administrator under Company Information. Personal settings can override these defaults in Language & Time Zone settings.
- Language: Three language levels exist: fully supported (all features), end-user (translations for standard objects only), and platform (translations for custom and standard objects, but no Help or Setup support).
- 18 languages are fully supported while 17 have end-user language support. More than 100 languages support platform level translations
- Language settings are changed via My Settings → Personal → Language & Time Zone.
Organization ID
- Organization ID is a unique 15-character identifier for each Salesforce organization.
- Found on the Company Information page.
- IDs are unique across different environments.
- Users provide this ID when requesting support.
Licenses
- Licenses define available features and services for an organization.
- Types include user licenses (baseline features), feature licenses (additional features), and permission sets (gradually grant user access to license features).
Salesforce API

Time Zone

Fiscal Year Configurations
- Defines the business year (accounting year) which can be standard (Gregorian calendar) or custom.
- Custom fiscal years impact forecasts, reports, and quotas.
- You can maintain a standard fiscal year using the Gregorian calendar template.

Data and File Storage
