    Configuration & Setup

    • Default Locale: Locale controls language and format for date, time, address, currency, name, and number fields.
    • Defaults are set by the company administrator under Company Information. Personal settings can override these defaults in Language & Time Zone settings.
    • Language: Three language levels exist: fully supported (all features), end-user (translations for standard objects only), and platform (translations for custom and standard objects, but no Help or Setup support).
    • 18 languages are fully supported while 17 have end-user language support. More than 100 languages support platform level translations
    • Language settings are changed via My Settings → Personal → Language & Time Zone.

    Organization ID

    • Organization ID is a unique 15-character identifier for each Salesforce organization.
    • Found on the Company Information page.
    • IDs are unique across different environments.
    • Users provide this ID when requesting support.

    Licenses

    • Licenses define available features and services for an organization.
