Professional Standard
- Includes:
- Technical definitions - IPMS Office buildings - IPMS Residential buildings - Application of the Professional Standard
RICS IPMS Data Standard
- Reflects IPMS Standards (Office and Resi).
- Updated to comply with other IPMS Standards.
- For all building classes (excluding office and resi), the bases of measurement in the RICS Code of Measuring Practice (6th Ed.) 2015 ("COMP") may apply.
IPMS
- Stands for International Property Measurement Standards.
- Multiple sub-areas: - IPMS 1 - External perimeter. - IPMS 2 - Internal floor area and internal and external walls. - IPMS 3 - Residential (occupier). - IPMS 3A - Measured to outer face of external wall and centre line of shared walls. - IPMS 3B - Measured to internal dominant face and finished surface. - IPMS 3C - Measured to internal dominant face and finished surface.

RICS Professional Standard

- Will supersede all previous IPMS standards.
- Aims to establish a consistent methodology for measuring all types of buildings globally.
- Harmonizes all building classes.
