Filipino National Artists
- The Order of National Artists of the Philippines is an order bestowed on Filipinos who have made significant contributions to the development of Philippine art.
- Members of the Order are known as National Artists.
- The award was originally an award, but was elevated to the status of an order in 2003.
- The insignia of the Order of the National Artists has a Grand Collar (silver gilt bronze) with circular links portraying the arts, and an eight-pointed sunburst.
- The insignia is suspended from a sampaguita wreath in green and white enamel.
- The central badge of the insignia is a medallion divided into three equal portions.
- The colors reflect the Philippine flag (red, white, and blue) .
- The three stylized letter Ks stand for the CCP's motto: "katotohanan, kabutihan, at kagandahan" ("the true, the good, and the beautiful").
- The motto was coined by Imelda Romualdez Marcos, the CCP's founder.
- National Artists are Filipino citizens who were nominated at the time of their nomination or who died after the award was established in 1972 but were citizens at the time of their death
