- The male reproductive system consists of:
- Testes: produce sperm
- Epididymis: stores and transports sperm
- Vas deferens: muscular tube that transports sperm
- Ejaculatory ducts: connect vas deferens to urethra
- Urethra: tube that carries sperm and urine out of the body
- Penis: male genital organ
- Scrotum: sac of skin and muscle that protects testes
Female Reproductive System
- The female reproductive system consists of:
- Ovaries: produce eggs
- Fallopian tubes: connect ovaries to uterus
- Uterus: muscular organ that supports fetal development
- Cervix: lower part of uterus that opens into vagina
- Vagina: muscular tube that connects cervix to outside of body
- Vulva: external female genital area

- The penis consists of:
- Root: attaches to abdomen
- Shaft: long, thin part of penis
- Glans: sensitive tip of penis
- Foreskin: layer of skin that covers glans
- Urethra: tube that carries sperm and urine out of body
- Corpus cavernosum: two cylindrical bodies of erectile tissue
- Corpus spongiosum: single cylindrical body of erectile tissue surrounding urethra
