- Qualifications for becoming a member of Rajya Sabha: • Must be a citizen of India • Must be at least 30 years old • Must possess other qualifications determined by the Parliament • Must not be of unsound mind, insolvent, or holding an office of profit under the Union or State government
- Tenure: 6 years, with one-third of members retiring every two years
- Salaries and allowances: Monthly salary, constituency allowance, and other benefits like free accommodation, water, electricity, telephone, and travel facilities
