Regular Days Off (R-Days)
- R-Days are 24-hour periods when a member is not scheduled to report for duty.
- R-Day schedules are available to affected department members prior to the beginning of each work year.
R-Day Scheduling
- Non-exempt, non-sworn members (excluding Detention Officers) assigned to:
- 8-Hour Work Plan: receive 2 R-Days during the 7-day work week.
- 10-Hour Work Plan: receive 3 R-Days during the 7-day work week.
- Detention Officers (non-exempt, non-sworn members) assigned to the 8-Hour Work Plan: receive 8 R-Days during each 28-day work period.
- Non-exempt, sworn members assigned to:
- 8-Hour Work Plan: receive 8 R-Days during each 28-day work period.
- 10-Hour Work Plan: receive 12 R-Days during each 28-day work period.
- 11-Hour Work Plan: receive 13 R-Days during each 28-day work period.
R-Days Per Work Year
- Members assigned to the 8-hour Work Plan: scheduled for 104 R-Days per work year.
- Members assigned to the 10-hour Work Plan: scheduled for 156 R-Days per work year.
- Members assigned to the 11-hour Work Plan: scheduled for 169 R-Days per work year.
R-Day Restrictions
- Non-exempt, non-sworn members (excluding Detention Officers and Crime Scene Investigations Section): cannot move their R-Day(s) outside the 7-day work week.
