  • 1 is neither prime nor composite
  • 2 is the smallest prime number and the only even prime number
  • Two prime numbers are always coprime, but coprime numbers may not be prime

Divisibility Rules

  • Divisibility by 3: Sum of digits is divisible by 3
  • Divisibility by 4: Last two digits are divisible by 4
  • Divisibility by 7: Multiply last digit by 2, subtract from the rest of the number, if the difference is 0 or a multiple of 7, then divisible
