- Those with social or professional power have a greater responsibility to set an example.
- Harassment can be based on protected characteristics such as race, gender, religion, and sexual orientation.
- Sexual harassment can include unwanted physical or verbal conduct, suggestive gestures, sharing unsuitable images or videos, and persistent unwanted advances.
- Other kinds of harassment include discriminatory comments, bullying, and insulting behavior.
- If you experience or witness harassment, report it to your supervisor, HR, or other designated contacts.
- Take notes of the situation as soon as possible.
- If accused of harassment, stay calm, listen, assess your behavior, explain your point of view, apologize if necessary, and work towards a solution.
