Present Simple Tense

Form

• The present simple is formed using the base form of the verb:
  • I / you / we / they + base form of the verb
  • he / she / it + base form of the verb + -s (e.g. goes, runs, eats)

Negative Form

• The negative form is formed using the auxiliary verb "do" in the present simple:

  • he / she / it + does not + base form of the verb

  • Does she live in London?
