Police Service Guidelines - Procedures:
- All uniforms, including body armor, must use only blue graphite material (Pantone 19-4015). Footwear, gloves, and identifiers are exceptions.
- Senior officers (Inspector and above) and Staff Sergeant/Sergeants can wear white shirts.
- Front-line officers have cargo-style pants with red or blue stripes down the side(for OPP, blue).
- All officers have issued black, slip-and-puncture resistant footwear.
- Outer/Winter wear should allow easy access to equipment.
- Front-line officer gloves must be black, with suitable finger dexterity.
- Officers must have "Police" (or "OPP") on shoulder flashes.
- Personal identifiers (name or badge #) must be visible on the uniform shirt/outer garment.
- Rank insignia is worn on shoulder epaulettes (except dress uniforms).
- Front-line officers use designated headgear.
- Uniform can be modified for accommodation of individuals as needed. (This is an overriding rule for all other requirements).
