Mandatory Off Day Deviation
- The City of Cincinnati can annually change four of an officer's regularly scheduled off days upon 72 hours notice to the officer, without overtime pay.
- Overtime is paid if a change in off days occurs during the days of events like "Riverfest" or "Ujima".
- All mandatory off day deviations must be pre-approved by a Captain or above.
- Training scheduled more than five days in advance, regularly scheduled shift changes, transfers and promotions do not apply to consecutive off day provisions.
- Off Day group 8 (Saturday/Sunday) is considered two consecutive off days.
Mandatory Shift Deviation
- Supervisors will add the appropriate shift deviation code if there is a mandatory change in work hours from an employee's assigned hours.
- Shift deviations are entered in half hour increments.
- All necessary information, including original work hours, ordering supervisor, and reason for the deviation, must be entered in the note section.
