- Apply psychological and sociological concepts to learn and perform physical activities
Freshman Core Grade 9 & PE Recreation / Athletic PE Grades 10-12
- Participate in various movement activities to build a foundation for lifelong health
- Improve physical fitness, be respectful, and develop skills in physical activities
- No access to locker rooms; students must come dressed out prior to class
PE Uniforms and Attire
- Wear athletic attire, closed-toed shoes, and hats (optional)
- Avoid clothing that restricts movement, is too tight/loose, or unsafe
- Prohibited clothing includes crop tops, tank tops, dresses, skirts, sandals, high heels, platforms, and shoes with wheels
- Shoes should be non-marking, soft-soled, and less than one inch high
Assessment and Participation
- Assessment (20%): In-class assessments will evaluate student understanding of physical education concepts
- Participation (80%): Students must come prepared, participate in activities, and wear appropriate attire
- Points may be deducted for lateness, missing stretching/warm-ups, off-task behavior, and non-participation
