Administration of Permits
- Permits are required and can be issued to a Registered and Licensed Master Plumber (RMP) who holds a valid, unexpired, and unrevoked certificate.
Permit Application
- The application must include:
- RMP's information
- Building owner's information
- Details of plumbing work
- Land registration and street address
- Use or occupancy information
- Plans, drawings, diagrams, and technical specifications
- Signed by the owner or permittee and the RMP
- 6 sets of signed and sealed plans and specifications
Permit Issuance
- The permit is approved by the administrative authority
- One set of plans is retained by the administrative authority
- Two sets are given to the applicant or owner
- One set is kept at the jobsite
- The permit is valid for 1 year or 365 days if plumbing work has not started
- If the work is suspended, the permit is valid for 4 months or 120 days
- Renewal fees are 50% of the original fee
Application for Existing Plumbing System
- The permit is required for:
- Additions, alterations, or repairs to existing plumbing systems
- Changes in building occupancy
- Maintenance of plumbing systems, including materials and appurtenances
- Existing or new plumbing systems in moved buildings
Inspections
- Inspections are conducted by administrative plumbing personnel and plumbing inspectors
- Inspection requests must be made at least 72 hours or 3 days before the scheduled inspection date
