Board of Nursing

- The Board develops and issues guidelines, regulations, measures, and decisions for the improvement of nursing practice, the advancement of the nursing profession, and the enforcement of the Act, subject to the review and approval of the Commission.
Licensure Examination
- All applicants seeking a license to practice nursing must pass a written examination administered by the Board.
- The examination schedule and locations are designated by the Commission, in accordance with the PRC Modernization Act of 2000 (RA 8981).
Qualifications for Admission to the Licensure Examination
- Applicants for the nursing licensure examination must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a citizen of the Philippines.
- Be of good moral character.
- Be a graduate of a nursing course duly recognized by the CHED.
- Have passed the nursing board exam.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have no known physical or mental defect, which could interfere with the practice of nursing.
- Have no known contagious or communicable diseases, which could be transmitted to patients.
- Have no pending criminal cases involving moral turpitude.
