Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS)
- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is conducting the CBMS to gather information on household living conditions, including health, nutrition, water, sanitation, shelter, education, income, employment, security, participation, and disaster preparedness.
- The data collected will be used by the national government and local government units to craft evidenced-based policies and programs for community development.
Purpose of the CBMS
- The CBMS aims to provide a basis for targeting beneficiaries of social and economic development programs of the government.

Household Profile Questionnaire
- The 2024 CBMS Household Profile Questionnaire is designed to collect information on household demographics, including core demographic characteristics, education, and ethnicity.
- The questionnaire is divided into sections, including Section A: Core Demographic Characteristics, and Section B: Education.
Core Demographic Characteristics
- Information to be collected includes the relationship of household members to the household head, age, sex, birthdate, and ethnicity.
- The questionnaire will also ask about the household head's marital status, religious affiliation, and ability to read and write.
Education
- The questionnaire will ask about the highest grade completed by each household member and the year of completion.
- The questionnaire will also ask about the type of education completed, such as a Bachelor's degree or a vocational course.
Confidentiality
- The PSA ensures that all information provided will be kept confidential and will not be used against the respondent or any household member.
- The confidentiality of the data is protected by the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and the CBMS Act.### Household Members and Their Relationships
- A household member's relationship to the household head is categorized into 26 types, including household head, spouse, son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, etc.
- The relationship types also include non-relatives, such as boarder, domestic helper, and others.

- Education levels are categorized into 8 levels:
- Level 0: Early Childhood Education
- Level 1: Primary Education (Elementary)
- Level 2: Lower Secondary/Junior High School
- Level 3: Upper Secondary (Senior High School)
- Level 4: Post-Secondary Non-Tertiary Education
- Level 5: Short Cycle Tertiary Education
