Citizenship
- A natural-born citizen of the Philippines is one who is a citizen of the Philippines from birth, including those whose fathers or mothers are citizens of the Philippines
- Naturalization is the process by which a foreigner acquires Philippine citizenship
Dual Citizenship
- Dual citizenship, also known as dual nationality, is the status of a person who is a citizen of two countries at the same time
- A Filipino citizen may acquire dual citizenship through naturalization in another country or by being born to parents who are citizens of another country
Rights of Filipino Citizens
- The right to life, liberty, and security of person is guaranteed to all Filipino citizens
- Citizens have the right to freedom of speech, expression, and peaceful assembly
