Patient Order Tracking
- Every patient order history is accessible via the process desktop, with the most recent orders displayed on top.
Dates in Ordering Process
- Service Date: Refers to the date an order is scheduled to be completed.
- Order Date: Represents the date an order was entered into the system.
Order Identification
- Each order is assigned a unique order number for tracking purposes.
Adding New Orders
- New orders can be entered by selecting OE, then process desktop, and choosing new order.
Entering Allergies
- Allergies can be documented through order entry, selecting the care area, and editing patient data.
Allergy Lookup Shortcuts
- Food allergies can be easily looked up using the shortcut /F.
- Environmental allergies can be accessed via the shortcut /E.
- Medication allergies are available through the shortcut /M.
Allergy Verification
- Unit clerks cannot verify allergies; any entries made by them are marked as unverified.
Standard Fields Page
- Includes key patient information such as temporary location, visitor allowance, patient's conditions, height, weight, and reason for visit.
Custom Queries
- Contains detailed patient information including arrival on the unit, date, time, diagnosis, procedure, isolation precaution codes, food dislikes, and personal directive.
Isolation Information
- Patient isolation status can be found under custom queries.
Visitor Information
- Visitor limitations can be checked on the standard fields page.
Doctor Lookup
- To find a doctor, input the first four letters of their last name followed by the F9 key.
Additional Information
- Patient bowel routines should be recorded under additional information.
Diet Types
- A diet high in fiber and low in fat is classified as a combination or therapeutic diet.
Patient Transfers
- Transfer to a unit should be initiated when a bed becomes available, recorded as Adm, tr, or transfer request.
