The Army Roll Method
- The Army Roll method, also known as the Ranger Roll method, is a efficient way to pack clothing, making it easily organizable and taking up less room in a backpack.
- It takes a little more time than folding clothes, but it's a good way to pack clothing.
How to Do the Army Roll
- Start with a shirt, lay it down on a table or floor, and fold the bottom inside out for about an inch to an inch and a half.
- Fold the sleeves in, then fold the shirt in half, bringing the sleeve to the middle, and then fold the other side over.
- Flip the shirt around, making sure the fold is equal on both sides, and start rolling as tight as possible.
- Work out any wrinkles as you roll, and make it nice and tight.
- Fold the end of the roll over to create a pouch, making sure it's nice and tight.

- Pants: similar to the shirt, but require two folds instead of three.
- Coat: make sure the zipper is all the way up, tuck in the hood, and fold the arms up to the shoulder.
- Underwear: fold in three places, then roll it up.
- Socks: lay them on top of each other, roll them together, and the bottom sock acts as the pouch.
