Brain
The brain is the most complex organ in the human body, serving as the command center for all bodily activities. It is divided into several regions with specialized functions, such as memory, cognition, emotions, and movement control. These various areas work together to execute tasks like processing information from our senses and making decisions based on that data.
Neurons
Neurons are the basic building blocks of the nervous system. They communicate with one another through electrical and chemical signals, allowing them to transmit information rapidly across great distances within the body. Neurons come in different types, each with specific roles within the nervous system.
Spinal Cord
The spinal cord serves as a vital link between the brain and the rest of the body. It relays messages back and forth between the brain and the muscles, organs, and skin. The spinal cord also plays a key role in reflex actions, ensuring immediate responses without involving conscious thought.
Sensory System
