Omaha Police Department Policy

The Omaha Police Department policy is to request immediate assistance from the Omaha Fire Department when additional personnel and equipment are needed for an immediate and intensive search/rescue operation.

Procedure for Requesting Assistance

The ranking command officer on the scene determines the need for an immediate and intensive search/rescue operation due to imminent danger of loss of life.
