Plot Development

Refers to the sequence of events that make up the narrative of a novel
Typically includes:
- Exposition: Introduction to setting, characters, and situation
- Rising Action: Series of events that build tension and conflict
- Climax: Turning point where the conflict reaches its peak
- Falling Action: Events that follow the climax and lead to the resolution
- Resolution: Conclusion of the story
Can be divided into:
- Linear narrative: Events unfold in chronological order
- Non-linear narrative: Events are presented out of chronological order
Types of plot structures:
- Episodic: Series of loosely connected events
- Overarching: Single, central plot that drives the story

Character Analysis

Involves examining the characters' traits, motivations, and roles in the story
Character types:
- Protagonist: Main character, often the hero or heroine
- Antagonist: Opponent of the protagonist, often the villain
- Foil: Character who contrasts with another character, highlighting their traits
- Dynamic character: Changes or grows throughout the story
- Static character: Remains unchanged throughout the story
Character development:
- Direct characterization: Author explicitly describes the character's traits
- Indirect characterization: Character's traits are inferred through their actions, dialogue, and thoughts

Literary Devices

Techniques used to convey meaning, create tone, and enhance the narrative
Examples:
- Imagery: Vivid descriptions of sensory experiences
- Symbolism: Objects, colors, or figures that represent abstract ideas or concepts
- Irony: Contrast between what is expected and what actually occurs
- Foreshadowing: Hints at events that will occur later in the story
- Allusion: Reference to a person, place, event, or work of art outside the text

উপন্যাসের কাহিনি গঠনের ক্রমবিন্যাসকে বোঝায়
সাধারণত এই কাহিনির বিকাশ পর্যায়গুলি অন্তর্ভুক্ত:
- সূচনা: পরিবেশ, চরিত্র ও পরিস্থিতি পরিচয়
- উত্তেজনা: ঘটনার সমষ্টি যা টান ও সংঘর্ষ সৃষ্টি করে
- চূড়ান্ত বিন্দু: সংঘর্ষ সর্বোচ্চ পর্যায়ে পৌঁছায়
- পতন: চূড়ান্ত বিন্দুর পরবর্তী ঘটনা যা সমাপ্তির দিকে নিয়ে যায়
- সমাপ্তি: কাহিনির শেষ
কাহিনির বিকাশ দুই ধরনের হতে পারে:
- সারল কাহিনি: ঘটনা কালানুক্রমিক ক্রমে উপস্থাপিত হয়
- অসারল কাহিনি: ঘটনা কালানুক্রমিক ক্রমে উপস্থাপিত হয় না
কাহিনির গঠন:
- পর্বসংকলন: স্বাধীনতা সংকলনের সমষ্টি
- প্রধান কাহিনি: একটি কেন্দ্রীয় কাহিনি যা কাহিনির প্রধান থিম নির্দেশ করে

চরিত্র বিশ্লেষণ

চরিত্রগুলির বৈশিষ্ট্য, প্রেরণা ও কাহিনির মধ্যে তাদের ভূমিকা পরীক্ষা করে
চরিত্র ধরন:
- মুখ্য চরিত্র: কাহিনির প্রধান চরিত্র, সাধারণত নায়ক বা নায়িকা
- বিপক্ষ চরিত্র: মুখ্য চরিত্রের বিরোধী, সাধারণত খলনায়ক

- অসরাসরি চরিত্র উন্নয়ন: চরিত্রটির বৈশিষ্ট্য তার ক্রিয়া, সংলাপ ও চিন্তায় উপস্থাপিত হয়

সাহিত্যিক উপকরণ

কাহিনির মাধ্যমে অর্থ প্রকাশ, স্থায়িত্ব সৃষ্টি ও কাহিনি উন্নয়ন করার জন্য অনেক পদ্ধতি
উদাহরণ:
- বিম্ব: সংবেদী অভিজ্ঞতার জীবন্ত বর্ণনা
- প্রতীক: বস্তু, রং, বা চিহ্ন যা অবচেতন ধারণা বা সংকল্পকে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে
- বিদ্রূপ: যা ঘটতে পারে তার সাথে প্রতিবেশি কাহিনি
- পূর্বসংকেত: কাহিনির পরবর্তী ঘটনা সম্পর্কে সূচনা
- অলুসন: কাহিনির বাহিরে ব্যক্তি, স্থান, ঘটনা বা সাহিত্যকর্মের সম্পর্ক
সাহিত্যিক উপকরণ কাহিনির মধ্যে অনেক কাজ করতে পারে:
