• Formed by adding -st, -nd, -rd, or -th to the cardinal number
• Examples:
  • 1st (first)
  • 2nd (second)
  • 3rd (third)

  • 5th (fifth)
  • ...and so on

• Used to show the quantity of something
• Examples:
