- Complement (SC/OC): Complements further describe or identify nouns or pronouns.
- Subjective Complement (SC): Follows linking verbs (be, seem, appear, remain, become) and describes the subject.
- Objective Complement (OC): Follows certain action verbs (appoint, consider, elect, name, nominate) and describes the direct object.
