Formatting Cells
- Formatting tools are available on the Home tab in MS Excel
- There are tools for font and alignment
- Steps to format text in a cell:
- Select the cell
- Click on the required tool in the Font or Alignment group
Font Group
- Change font type
- Change font size
- Change font colour
- Make text bold, italic, or underlined
Alignment Group
- Set vertical alignment
- Set text orientation
- Wrap long text into multiple lines
- Set horizontal alignment
- Apply borders to selected cells
- Fill colour in selected cells
- Merge and center selected cells into a larger cell
