This document is a curriculum guide for a life skills and professional skills course intended for 10th graders
The course aims to equip students with knowledge, skills, values, and positive attitudes to build their future with confidence.
The curriculum will be achieved through various activities focused on core skills, including mental skills, personal skills, academic research skills and professional skills.
Active participation in class, diverse activities inside and outside the classroom, utilizing opportunities for learning, and completing assigned tasks accurately and diligently are emphasized.
Emphasizing a collaborative environment that fosters collective thought, engagement, and participation, while actively applying acquired knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values.
The curriculum seeks to promote success and accomplishment for students.

National Vision 2030 is a comprehensive development vision for Qatar.
It aims to transform Qatar into an advanced nation capable of sustainable development.
The vision emphasizes the well-being and prosperity of Qatari citizens.
The core of the vision comprises four interconnected pillars: social development, economic development, environmental sustainability, and human capital development.

The objective of this pillar is to create an educated, healthy, and productive workforce with strong work ethic.
The educational system must meet the needs of the present and future job market.
Quality education and training opportunities tailored to individual aspirations will be provided.
Continuous learning programs will be available for everyone. A national network for formal and informal education will furnish Qatari children and youth with the required skills and motivation to actively contribute to the development of their country.
Fostering national values, traditions, and cultural heritage.
Encouragement of creativity, innovation, and talent development among the youth.
Instilling a strong sense of belonging and citizenship to the country.
Participation in a wide range of cultural and sports activities.
Modern and independent educational institutions run efficiently and autonomously under central guidelines with a system of accountability.
An effective funding system for research and development, based on partnership between the public and private sectors in collaboration with international bodies.
Active international role in cultural, intellectual, and scientific research areas.

Unit 1 focuses on creative thinking skills.
Specific topics: Creative skills, creative thinking tools, generating creative ideas, creating mind maps, critical thinking skills, critical thinking skills (part 1 & 2).
Learning outcomes include: Definition of creativity, stages of creative process, implementation of creative thinking skills, characteristics of creativity, and SCAMPER program for generating ideas.
SCAMPER is a tool including: Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Magnify, Minify, Put to other uses, Eliminate, Reverse, and Rearrange.
Mind mapping techniques.
Critical thinking: definition, characteristics, cause-and-effect analysis, truth vs. opinion, motivation identification, contradiction detection, all-factors consideration, and other perspectives.
