Course Content (Unit 1: I am Creative)

• Unit 1 focuses on creative thinking skills.
• Specific topics: Creative skills, creative thinking tools, generating creative ideas, creating mind maps, critical thinking skills, critical thinking skills (part 1 & 2).
• Learning outcomes include: Definition of creativity, stages of creative process, implementation of creative thinking skills, characteristics of creativity, and SCAMPER program for generating ideas.
• SCAMPER is a tool including: Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Magnify, Minify, Put to other uses, Eliminate, Reverse, and Rearrange.
• Mind mapping techniques.
• Critical thinking: definition, characteristics, cause-and-effect analysis, truth vs. opinion, motivation identification, contradiction detection, all-factors consideration, and other perspectives.
