Congress: A scheduled, periodic meeting of delegates or representatives of interested groups to discuss a subject; the European term for convention

Convention: A formal meeting to provide information on a particular situation, usually of limited duration

Foreign Meeting: A meeting comprised of attendees from other nations, also known as international meetings

Seminar: A lecture, presentation, and discussion under the guidance of an expert allowing participants to share experiences in a particular field

Workshop: An event designed to stimulate intensive discussion and compensate in delivering views in a particular discipline/subject

Exhibit: Displays materials and products housed in a booth or stand.

Exhibition: A display for public viewing of products or promotional materials for PR, sales, and marketing; also known as exposition, show, or trade show

Fair: A public celebration including commercial and civic activities

Festival: A public celebration that conveys certain meanings to participants through activities

Parade: A moving pageant including floats, bands, and entertainers
