Multiplication

• Commutative Property: The order of the numbers being multiplied does not change the result.

Subtraction

• Subtracting integers:
  • Subtract the smaller integer from the larger integer
  • The result has the sign of the larger integer

Addition

• Dividing integers:

• Dividing rational numbers:
  • Invert the divisor (i.e., flip the fraction) and multiply
  • Simplify the resulting fraction
