Mastering Input and Output Devices

An input device is an electromechanical device that accepts data from the outside world and translates them into a form that a computer can interpret.

The categories into which input devices are classified are pointing devices, keyboard, scanning devices, speech recognition devices, and vision-based devices.

Five examples of pointing devices are mouse, trackball, joystick, touch screen, and light pen.
