- The Marketing Mix is a marketing strategy that involves putting the right product, promotion, price, place, people, physical environment, and process in place to reach and satisfy the target market.
- The 4 P's of the Marketing Mix include Product, Promotion, Price, and Place.product is designing, producing, and delivering the product or service that meets the consumer's needs. Promotion is creating awareness and interest in the product or service through advertising, sales promotion, and public relations. Price is determining the optimal price point for the product or service to maximize profit. Place is making the product or service available to the target market through distribution channels.
- The 7 P's of the Marketing Mix, also known as the Extended Marketing Mix, include the 4 P's and People, Physical Environment, and Process. People refer to the employees who represent the company and interact with the customers. Physical Environment is the physical surroundings and ambiance of the business. Process is the systems and procedures that support the marketing efforts.
- When planning marketing for products, the 4 P's are used. When planning marketing for services, the 7 P's are used to account for the intangible nature of services and the importance of the people and process components.
