Marketing Management Practice Module Assessment
- There are two components to the Marketing Management Practice Module Assessment:
- Both components must pass to pass the module
- A marginal fail in one component needs a merit in the other to pass
- A marginal fail in both components requires a resubmission
- Grading criteria uses a judgment process to assess student work against:
- Pass
- Merit
- Distinction

- The student's work must mainly fit within each grade category
- Double marking and moderation is used to ensure consistent grading

Part A: Report Grading Criteria
Depth of Analysis, Proper Use of Information Sources, and Theoretical-Practical Integration
- Fail: Superficial or absent analysis of marketing strategies. Lack of effective integration between theory and practice. Little evidence of research.
- Marginal Fail: Limited analysis of marketing strategies. Inconsistent integration between theory and practice. Inconsistent use of information sources.
- Pass: Satisfactory analysis of marketing strategies. Reasonable integration between theory and practice. Consistent use of information sources.

Independence of Thought & Critical Discussion
- Fail: No evidence of independent thought. Generic or absent recommendations without consideration of marketing strategy nuances.
- Marginal Fail: Little evidence of independent thought. Limited or vague recommendations with little evidence of originality or innovation.
- Pass: Good evidence of independent thought. Reasonable but not fully developed recommendations with some original ideas or innovation.
- Merit: Very good and sustained evidence of independent thought. Detailed and well-founded recommendations demonstrating originality and innovation.
- Distinction: Excellent and sustained evidence of independent thought. Exceptional, creative, and highly innovative recommendations demonstrating a deep understanding of marketing strategies and proposing disruptive and effective solutions
Clarity of Report Structure and Organisation
- Fail: Confusing or absent structure, lacking organisation, and illogical flow in the report development
- Marginal Fail: Inconsistent or unclear structure, with some poorly defined or underdeveloped sections, and some poorly defined or underdeveloped sections
- Pass: Satisfactory structure with reasonable organisation and logical flow in the report development
- Merit: Clear and well-organised structure, with a logical and coherent sequence of sections that facilitate understanding and analysis of the report
- Distinction: Exceptionally clear and well-organised structure with a logical and persuasive sequence of sections that maximise understanding and impact of the report
Presentation
- Fail: Presentation of written material is poor with poor grammar and other errors. Referencing not to accepted conventions.
- Marginal Fail: Presentation of written material is weak with weak grammar and other errors. An attempt is made at referencing according to accepted conventions.
- Pass: Adequate presentation of written material with little or no grammatical or other errors. Referencing largely correct to the accepted conventions.
- Merit: Very good presentation of written material, minor grammatical or other errors. Referencing through written work is correct to the accepted conventions.
- Distinction: Excellent presentation of written material with no grammatical or other errors. Referencing through written work entirely correct to the accepted conventions.
