    • Imagine! employees, contractors, respite providers, and volunteers are responsible for protecting the health, safety, and well-being of each individual, including the prevention of MANE.
    • Imagine! employees, contractors, and respite providers are required by law to be Mandated Reporters and must report incidents of MANE within 24 hours of observation or discovery.

    Definitions of MANE

    • Mistreatment is the umbrella term for abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
    • Abuse includes inflicting physical pain or injury, unreasonable confinement or restraint, and unlawful sexual behavior.
