Assign NIIN and Register User (LSA)

• The LSA transaction involves assigning NIIN and registering a user in the NATO Data Exchange Redesign (NDER) format.
• The transaction is represented through form L07.
• To request assign NSN, use MYS NCB (Malaysian Armed Forces Cataloguing Authority) to request KOR NCB (Korean NCB) to assign NSN.
• The process has 4 segments:
  • Segment A - NSN Details
  • Segment B - NSN User
  • Segment C - Reference Details (NCAGE)
  • L07 (Technical Data)

Step by Step Process of LSA

• User Login

  • Enter username "cod 15"
  • Enter password "Axxxxxx3"
  • Click "OK"

• Codification Menu

  • Click "Codification"
  • Click "New"

• Selection of Item Name

  • Select the Item Name

• Fill NSC, INC & PIC

  • Search for suitable INC (Item Name Code)
  • Click the PIC Code option and take over

• Fill in International User

  • Click and Choose International User "YW" (Malaysia) and take over.
  • Click "Add Reference"

• Fill in NCAGE, Reference No. & Codes

  • Choose and Enter NCAGE Code "TOEC E" (Non US - Manufacture)
  • Enter Reference Number
  • Enter RN Related Codes:
    • RNFC - 4
    • RNCC - 3
    • RNVC - 2
    • DAC - 1
    • RNAAC - BLANK
    • RNSC - A
  • Take over these codes

• IPC/Document Attachment

  • Attach the IPC/Document from the Supplier/Vendor
  • Click "L07"

• Submit L07

  • Complete the L07 form with the requested data.
  • Click “Accept and Process”.

• LSA Transaction Details

  • A report will display DIC (Destination action), Document Control Number (DCN), Type, and State about the information transmitted by NMBS (NATO Material Bureau Services).

• NSPA Approval

  • After the process, the NSPA (NATO Support and Procurement Agency) needs to approve the assigned NSN.
  • N-CORE NG will send the necessary NSN/NCAGE data to NMBS.
  • NMBS will forward the data to the foreign CODIFIER (NCB) for import and retrieval.
