- Parallelism: Repetition of words, phrases, or sentences with the same grammatical structure
- Anaphora: Repetition of the first word(s) of a clause in a series of statements.

- Flashback: A literary device used to go back in time to explain an event that happened earlier in the story

- Foil: A character who is used as a contrast to another character
