Early Life

Lacey Chabert was born on September 30, 1982, in Purvis,, and grew up in Louisiana. Her father is of Cajun descent. Chabert's earliest claims to fame came from her appearances in pageants. At four years old, she was crowned World's Baby Petite in the World's Our Little Miss Scholarship Competition. Later, she was named Miss Jr. Mississippi.

Acting Career

Chabert began her acting journey in 1990 at the age of eight. Her breakout role was as Bianca Montgomery on the soap opera "All My Children," followed by her longest stint as Claudia Salinger on the hit teen drama "Party of Five". In 1997 and 1998, she earned two consecutive YoungStar Awards for Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Drama Series.

Her transition from television to cinema brought her to play Penny Robinson in the cult classic "Lost in Space". She then lent her voice to the Carmen Sandiego animated series. Her versatility expanded with a supporting role in the parody film "Not Another Teen Movie." In 2002, she joined the cast of Disney Channel's "That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana".

In 2010, Chabert found a new home on the Hallmark Channel with her first lead role in the film "Elevator Girl". Since then, she has been a mainstay of Hallmark's romantic lineup. Her chemistry with frequent collaborators has led to her earning the nickname 'Queen of Hallmark Movies'. She has worked with actors like Brennan Elliott, who appears in the "Crossword Mysteries" series, and the trio of "The Wedding Veil Trilogy".

Chabert also branched out into voice acting for animation, providing the voices for characters in "Star Wars: The Old Republic" and "Sonic the Hedgehog". In addition, she voiced Eliza Thornberry in the animated series "The Wild Thornberrys" and its subsequent films.

Personal Life
