Labeling Procedure for Tote Products

• The purpose of this procedure is to ensure correct labeling of products with appropriate codes and types to avoid confusion and maintain quality.
• The responsibility of implementing this procedure lies with both the tote filler operator and Quality Technician to prevent label misplacement and confusion.
• This procedure is a joint effort between Quality Assurance and Production departments.
• Two items are used for this procedure: a printer and a tote.
• Before labeling any product, previous labels must be removed to prevent confusion.
• The Quality Technician must determine the type and size of labels to use and verify new codes and dates with Quality Assurance.
• The totes are marked with a pen or marker by the RO operator based on the order of filling to make it easier for the Quality Technician to recognize them.
• The Quality Technician verifies the information on the date code verification paper received from the RO operator for accuracy.
• Labels required for the totes are printed, and the Quality Technician affixes them to the corresponding totes based on the tote number.
• Date codes on labels must correspond to the date of filling, and if filled after 11:58 PM, the date code and labels must be updated for the new date.
• The Quality Technician disposes of previous day's labels, verifies and prints new labels with a new date code for the products.
• The Quality Technician verifies the number of totes by physically counting them on the production floor and cross-checking with the RO operator while referring to the Quality tote tracking log for accuracy.
