KidStrong Overview

• KidStrong is founded on cognitive and physical development principles.

Physical Foundations

• Essential foundational movements include Balance, Strength, Speed, Agility, and Coordination.

Brain Development

• For children aged 4 and under, focus is on basic fundamentals: letters, shapes, colors, and numbers.
• For children aged 5 and older, the focus shifts to applying knowledge through practical life skills such as finance and American Sign Language (ASL).

Starter Kit Components

• A KidStrong Starter Kit includes a bracelet, water bottle, jersey, stickers, and a rank-up poster.

KidStrong Expectations

• The KidStrong Way includes unlearning and relearning, establishing a coaching culture, fostering public speaking skills, and evaluations for certification.

Coach Characteristics

• Key traits of coaches: engaging and fun performer, professional approach, knowledgeable teacher, deep mentoring relationships, authoritative presence, and a passion for coaching.

Center Team Traits

• The ideal center team exhibits professionalism, community building, coachability, passion, natural leadership, and teamwork.

Equipment and Orientation

• Equipments used include rigs, crawlers, climbers, mats, and beams.
• Rig orientation is determined by standing at the base of the KidStrong logo.

Disarming Parent Interaction

• Use the B.L.A.S.T approach: Believe, Listen, Apologize, Satisfy, Thank.

Ranks Structure

• Foundational ranks include student, alpha, and titan hero.
• Rank up activities involve leading affirmations, leading demonstrations, and assisting with cleanup.

Advancement and Classes

• 10 classes are required between foundational rank ups, with 5 classes needed between level ups.
• An advancement structure includes leader ranks (atlas, maximus, victory, legend) and advanced ranks (catalyst, invictus, ignite, ascent).

Role of Rovers and Point Coaches

• Point coaches manage the class flow with energy and excitement.
• Rover coaches document children's behavior, take photos, and boost the point coach's visibility.

Communication and Reports

• Rovers communicate essential updates with point coaches at specific times during the courses.
• SOR (State of Readiness Report) is sent by the director at 7 am for updates on trials and classes.
• AAR (After Action Report) is provided by the last rover coach of the night, summarizing rank ups, trials, and feedback.

KidStrong Prep

• Parent-centered prep programs introduce structure and fundamentals for walking toddlers up to 4 years old.
• The science behind the prep program focuses on sensory and neurological coordination.
