IT-peripheral occupations

IT-mixed occupations

• Involves professional and IT tasks.
• Acts as an intermediary between developers and users.

• The journal "Applied Computer Science" is renamed "Business Information Systems Engineering."

Timeline of Economic Computer Science

• In 2004, Bachelor and Master programs were introduced.
• In 2005, the European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS) was founded at the University of Münster, under the direction of J. Becker.
• Also in 2005, the GI's Modeling of Business Information Systems group founded the journal Enterprise Modeling and Information Systems Architectures (MOBIS), with U. Frank as the editor.
• In 2007, A.-W. Scheer becomes the first business informatics president of BITKOM in 2007.
• In 2008, 100 business informatics degree programs were accredited according to Bologna.
• In 2009, the journal WIRTSCHAFTSINFORMATIK was published in English as a one-to-one translation and as an e-journal.
• Also in 2009, the journal "Business Informatics & Management" was released
• In 2010, H. Österle (University of St. Gallen) wrote a memorandum on design-oriented.
• Warns that business informatics is becoming too descriptive
• Foundation of the paluno institute - paluno - The Ruhr Institute for Software Technology at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
