The Peninsular Plateau is divided into two distinct parts: the Malwa Plateau and the Deccan Plateau.
The two plateaus are separated by the Vindhya and Satpura ranges.
Several low hills surround the plateau on all three sides up to the Ganges.

Island Regions of India

The Lakshadweep Islands are a group of 36 coral islands located in the shallow waters of the Arabian Sea, 300 km west of the Kerala coast.
Most islands are uninhabited due to the absence of drinking water.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are located in the Bay of Bengal and are larger and more numerous than the Lakshadweep Islands.

Shiwalik or Outer Himalayan Range
