No-Confidence Motion
- A proposal expressing lack of confidence in a Ministry, requiring support of at least 50 members
- If passed in the Lok Sabha, the government must resign
Dissolution of the House
- The Prime Minister can recommend dissolution of the House after a No-Confidence Motion is passed
- The President can dissolve the House if no party has a majority to form the government
Adjournment and Prorogation of the House
- The House can be adjourned due to a sitting or ex-member's death, disorder, or no quorum
- Adjournment can be temporary or permanent, leading to prorogation
Speaker of the Lok Sabha
- The presiding officer of the House, elected from among members after general elections
