Inclusive Housing Regulation Applicability
- Applicable to municipal corporations with a population of 10 lakh or more.
- Excludes municipal councils and rural areas.
- Minimum land size required for applicability is 4000 sq. m.
EWS/LIG Housing Requirements
- 20% of the land must be reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG) housing.
- MHADA (Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority) prepares the list of allottees for EWS/LIG plots.
- Developed plots for EWS/LIG are sized between 30-50 sq. m.
- EWS/LIG houses can be built elsewhere if within 1 kilometer of the reserved land.
