The lens in the eye changes shape to focus light on the retina, allowing us to see objects clearly at varying distances.
Ciliary muscles contract and relax to alter the lens's curvature, enabling the eye to focus on near or far objects.

The retina is located at the back of the eye, lining the innermost layer of the eyeball.

Light enters the eye through the cornea, passes through the lens, and hits the retina, where it stimulates photoreceptors (rods and cones).
The stimulated photoreceptors send electrical signals through the optic nerve to the brain, where they are interpreted as visual information.

The pupil, a hole in the center of the iris, regulates the amount of light entering the eye by adjusting its diameter.
In bright light, the pupil constricts to reduce light entrance, and in dim light, it dilates to allow more light in.
