Study Notes

  • This event focuses on the structure and function of various organs and human body systems.
  • Each team will consist of 2 students.
  • The event will last 50 minutes.
  • No safety equipment is required.
  • Participants are allowed one 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper with information on both sides.

  • Muscular
  • Digestive
  • Respiratory
  • Circulatory
  • Excretory
  • Nervous
  • Sensory
  • Endocrine

Key Knowledge Areas for Each System

  • Function and purpose of each system
  • Organs comprising each system
  • Location of each organ in the human body
  • Structure and function of each organ

Event Format

  • The room will have 10-15 stations.
  • Each station will have 6-8 questions about a specific organ or system.
  • Models, slides, pictures, or information will be at each station to help answer questions.
  • The Event Supervisor will provide models, slides, pictures, information, questions, and an answer sheet.
  • Participants must work quietly with their partner.
  • Participants will start at an assigned station and answer the questions there.
