HSD (Hot Snack with Dessert) and HSG (Hot Snack with Glacé Ice Cream) Service
- Start of service: If served as the first service, heat the hot snacks once the aircraft is airborne. Preheating is allowed in some cases, refer to general heating guidelines.
- Start of service: If served as the second service, start the service at least 2 hours and 30 minutes before landing if a store list needs to be filled in. If no store list needs to be filled in, 2 hours and 15 minutes before landing should be sufficient.
Preparatory Work
- CCM 5L (AFT galley co-ord.)
- For HSG: Remove dry ice from ice cream in advance of service.
- Remove hot snacks from the refrigerator shortly before service.
- Heat up hot snacks according to the table in section 7.1.15.2 Heating times.
- Prepare two to four coffee pots.
- CCM 4L (MID galley delegate)
- Remove hot snacks from the refrigerator shortly before service.
- Heat up hot snacks according to the table in section 7.1.15.2 Heating times.
- Brew coffee.
- Prepare coffee and tea pots for refills.
- CCM 4R
- Assist in service and galley preparation.
- CCM 5LA
- Prepare DT on the left side of the AFT galley with a table top.
- ECL: Remove the drawer with large water bottles and replace it with the drawer containing warm mugs.
- Place the RTG drawer on top and add mise en place.
- CCM 5RA
- Prepare DT on the right side of the AFT galley with a table top.
- ECL: Remove the drawer with large water bottles and replace it with the drawer containing warm mugs.
