Certificate of Return to Service
- A certificate of return to service must be issued before flight after completing any maintenance package scheduled by the operator's approved aircraft maintenance program, whether base or line maintenance.
- A certificate of return to service must be issued before flight, even with remaining open defects that are not within the operator's minimum equipment list.
- A certificate of return to service must be issued after completing maintenance on an aircraft component off the aircraft, following approved maintenance capabilities.
Maintenance Personnel Rest Requirements
- Personnel must have a minimum rest period of 12 hours before performing aircraft maintenance functions.
- Personnel performing aircraft maintenance functions cannot be scheduled for more than 12 consecutive hours of duty.
- Following unscheduled duty periods, maintenance personnel must have a mandatory rest period of 12 hours.
- The LTP must relieve maintenance personnel from all duties for 24 consecutive hours during any seven consecutive day period.
