HPC Infrastructure and Air Conditioning System

The required network bandwidth must be considered in connection to the archiving system, to any required post-processing/product-generation systems, and to the BMKG website.

The multiple uninterrupted power supplies (UPSs) will protect the computing environment and provide at least 15 minutes of ample time for the facility's generators to come online.

The Data Center Cabling System must have a cable system above and below that is structured and protected. Data cables and electrical wiring must be separated and isolated so that they do not cause extensive interference.

The Power Panel systems must be in accordance with the standard BS / IEC / EN 60439.

The strip data cable and power supply should have the distance and anti-lightning grounding lines according to standard ANSI / TIA-469-B.

The bidder must provide electric power redundancy/backup (UPS) with 15 minutes backup time, temperature control, security, power and cooling distribution, and availability of raised floor.

The air conditioning system must include cooling equipment, air filter media, air temperature and humidity controls, plumbing systems, and air circulation arrangements that cover the whole room and equipment within an area of 600 m2 for Jakarta Headquarters and 60 m2 for BMKG Regional Center III - Bali.

The server room temperature must be kept constant at 22 ℃ (+/- 2), and the moisture must be kept constant at 55% (+/- 10).

The electrical system includes the main electrical panel and PLC (Program Logic Control), which must be resistant to high current waves and spikes to prevent damage to the server devices and other Data Center infrastructure. It must also have an automatic system switchover when there is a failure of the power supply source.

Besides UPS equipment, the Data Center must have enough reserve and backup batteries system and electrical connector block (PDU / Power Distribution Unit) adjusted by the number of server racks and cabinets.

The Access Control and Security system should be state-of-the-art, including entry and exit logs, video security, overall emergency procedures for the data center, a contact list for emergencies, fire prevention systems, and other necessary facilities.

The Server Cabinet should use a 42U to 48U rack. The Raised Floor Systems should use the space under the floor to maintain air pressure stabilization, be rust-free, and clean.
