The United Nations

Established following World War II to prevent future wars by promoting peaceful resolution of disputes, encouraging respect for human rights, fostering social progress, and developing friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples. As a founding member of the UN, India actively participates in its activities and contributes significantly towards achieving its goals.
