    • A pronoun is a word that replaces a noun.
    • Subject pronouns are used as the subject of a sentence.
    • Subject pronouns: I, you, he, she, it, we, they
    • Examples:
      • We swam in the pool for hours. (We = subject, swam = verb)
      • Maria baked cookies for her friends. (Maria = subject, baked = verb)

    Possessive Nouns

    • Possessive nouns show ownership.
    • To make a noun possessive, add an apostrophe and an "s" to the end of the noun.

    Identifying Sentences
