Stages of GDL Licensing

Stage One: Learner's Licence (Class 7)
- Minimum age: 14 years.
- Requirements: Vision screening, knowledge test on road rules, parental consent (if under 18), valid ID.
- Conditions:
- Must hold Class 7 for at least one year.
- Must drive with a fully licensed driver (non-GDL) aged 18 or older.
- No driving from midnight to 5 a.m.
- Passenger limit: Must not exceed the number of seat belts.
- Suspension for 8 or more demerit points.
- Zero tolerance for alcohol and drugs.

Stage Two: Probationary Licence (Class 5-GDL)
