- A tablet, or tablet PC, is a portable computer that uses a touchscreen as its primary input device.
- Most tablets are slightly smaller and weigh less than the average laptop.
- A netbook is a small laptop computer designed primarily for accessing internet-based applications.
- A smartphone is a mobile phone that performs many of the functions of a computer, typically having a touch screen interface, Internet access, and an operating system capable of running downloaded applications.
- Wearable technology, or wearable gadgets, include devices that can be worn by a consumer and often include tracking information related to health and fitness.
Philippine Writing Systems
- Baybayin was a pre-colonial writing style.
- During the colonial period, Filipinos who converted to Catholicism were taught the Spanish language and the Latin alphabet.
- In the 17th century, an alphabet was developed with 32 letters called abecedario.
- The Americans introduced the 26-letter alphabet to the Filipinos during their 40-year occupation.
