Sphere is another common solid, which is a round object with every part of it the same distance from the central point.

Measurement

Formulas such as the formula for the area of a rectangle (length times width) and the volume of a cube (edge cubed) allow us to determine these measures. Trigonometry, a branch of geometry that uses angles and ratios between the sides of triangles, helps solve problems involving more complex measurements.
